Mangaluru, Nov 20: "The students of Kannada medium schools can grasp knowledge faster than those of English medium school. Hence, Kannada medium students should not have any inferiority complex. Instead, they should feel proud about Kannada language," said activist Chakravarthi Sulibele.
He was speaking during 'Kannada Shala Makkala Habba' in a session over the topic 'Kannadavendare Bari Nudi Alla' at Shivarama Karantha stage in the premises of Sanghanikethana here on Sunday, November 20.
"Kannada is the most scientific language and even other Indian languages are scientific too.We should be proud about our language. Every word of the Kannada language is unique. In Kannada, exactly, we read what we write and write what we read but not English. In Kannada language there is no confusion compared to foreign languages," he added.
He also clarified that he was not against any language but his priority is Kannada which is the culture of this land.
Kannada is linked to the culture of this land. So, students learning in Kannada medium should be proud about it, Sulibele said.
Assistant professor of University of Mysore Latha S Ravi was present on the occasion.
