Mumbai, Sep 16: Kapil Sharma's popular comedy show The Great Indian Kapil Show is set to return with its fifth season on Netflix from September 26, 2026.

Netflix announced the new season on Wednesday through a video featuring Kapil Sharma and the show's popular comedy gang. The announcement has generated excitement among viewers, with fans taking to social media to welcome the return of the comedy show.

The fifth season will begin streaming on Netflix from 8 pm on September 26. The makers are yet to announce the complete release schedule and details of the episodes.

The announcement video features Kapil Sharma along with Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Rajiv Thakur. Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu are also set to return as judges.

Following the announcement, several social media users expressed their excitement about the upcoming season. Fans welcomed the return of the show's original comedy team and said they were looking forward to the new episodes.

The Great Indian Kapil Show premiered on March 30, 2024, with Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni as the first guests.

The second season premiered in September 2024, followed by the third season in June 2025 and the fourth season in December 2025.

The fifth season will premiere on Netflix on September 26.
