Nov 23: Dakshina Kannada, Udupi reported one Covid case each

Mangaluru/Udupi, Nov 23: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, November 23, reported one new coronavirus case while Udupi also registered one case.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,182, out of which 3 are currently active. As many as 1 patient was discharged on November 23.

No deaths were reported on November 23. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.17 percent.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

One coronavirus case was reported on November 23. The total active Covid cases are 3.

A total of 10,90,856 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,86,718 have received both doses and 2,99,539 people have received booster doses.

Kundapura reported one infection which was symptomatic.
