Udupi: St John’s institutions day celebrated

Udupi, Nov 29: St. John’s institutions day was celebrated as part of the centenary year celebration of St John the evangelist church Shankerpura on November 26.

Fr Cyril Lobo, director Divyajyothi was the chief guest for the programme. He highlighted about the values of the students and the importance of the teacher through activities, songs and talks.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalve, correspondent St John’s institutions presided over the function. He called upon the students to become good citizens of the society by attaining good education.

Fr Anil Pinto, assistant parish priest Fr Vijay D’souza, coordinator St John’s institutions John Rodrigues, vice president parish pastoral committee Anita D’souza, secretary Sima Margaret D’souza, convener 20 commissions Dominion R Noronha, president alumni association head of the institutions Sr Sarita D’souza, Irene D’souza, Priya D’sa and Ashwin Rodrigues were present.

Irene D’souz, head mistress primary division welcomed the gathering Priya, D’sa principal St John’s Pre university college proposed vote of thanks. Bhagyalakshmi, lecturer St John’s Pre university college compered the event. Ashwin Rodrigues coordinated the programme.
