Bengaluru, Dec 3: State president of BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that anyone with criminal background will not be included in the party under any circumstance. He also said that he will gather information on those who are presently in the party.

Health minister Dr K Sudhakar, MPs Tejasvi Surya, P C Mohan, MLA Uday Garudachar, Bengaluru south BJP president N R Ramesh and many other prominent BJP leaders reportedly took part in the programme organized by infamous rowdy Silent Sunil. There is widespread criticism on this matter on social media.

Speaking to reporters in party office, Nalin said, “Our party will not tolerate anti-national activities like terrorism, criminal activities and goonda politics. I have seen our people participating with rowdy Silent Sunil in a programme recently. I have sought explanation from them. Under no circumstances anyone with criminal background will not be included into the party. I would like to say full stop for this issue.”

For the question on whose disciple is D K Shivakumar, Nalin said, “There is no need for me to publish whose disciple is D K Shivakumar or how he entered politics. People of Bengaluru know the history of D K Shivakumar and the blood shed activities of Congress party better than me. There is no reason for us to answer who carried out the massacre of Sikhs in Delhi.

“In political system sometimes, some mistakes do happen. Incidents of this nature and criminal activities are also monitored by us. We cannot see all cases in similar way. Cases filed on all people of our organization. There are cases against people who fought for Hindutva. When Congress was in power, cases were registered on all and included in rowdy list,” he said.
