Dec 3: Twin districts Dakshina Kannada, Udupi report nil infections

Mangaluru/ Udupi, Dec 3: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, December 3, reported zero coronavirus cases while nil cases were registered in Udupi.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,37,187, out of which 3 are currently active. No patients were discharged on December 3.

No deaths were reported on December 3. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,861.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Nil coronavirus cases were reported on December 3. The total active Covid cases are 0.

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 96,449. The death toll in the district so far stands at 550.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 60,94,570 as fine and 55,123 people have been penalised.
