Mangaluru, Dec 17: Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Prof P S Yadapadithaya said that the institution is going to introduce five new post graduate courses as per job demand. This matter was disclosed in the academic board meeting. The proposal was approved in the meeting.
Post graduate Molecular Biology, Food science and nutrition study research, biological technology study and research, MBA health safety and environment section and post graduate ancient history and archaeology course will begin during 2023-24 academic year at Hampankatta university college.
VC said that the five new courses will help students to get employment. These have begun at Bengaluru, Mysuru University, Manipal school of life sciences and Kannur university of Kerala.
PG diploma in cyber security and ethical hacking course is also approved by the governor and will begin at university campus from next academic year.
Approval was given to amendment of maintenance of colleges affiliated to the university, revised syllabus for environment studies, syllabus of sports and yoga value based courses, classification of university employees, amendment of control and higher appeal rules, revised syllabus for mass communication and PhD in journalism.
Registrar Dr Kishore Kumar C K, Registrar evaluation Prof P L Dharma and financial officer Prof Y Sangappa were present.
