M'luru: National level virtual conference held at Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management

Mangaluru, Jan 4: Srinivas University Institute of Hotel Management & Tourism, organized a national level virtual conference on the theme 'Futuristic Vision Of Hospitality, Tourism Operations And Management' on December 28 at its city campus, Pandeshwar.

Dinesh Rai, general manager, Crowne Plaza, Kochi, was the inaugurator of the programme.

Dinesh Rai, highlighted the major changes in the sectors of tourism and hospitality with facts and figures in view of the reviving hospitality business and illustrated the major steps taken by the hotels to cope with the uncertainty. Dinesh motivated the students and researchers and spoke about the qualities and skills needed to be maintained by the aspirants of hospitality career to dwell in the field.

Proffesor S Swaminathan, dean, welcomed the dignitaries and delegates to the virtual programme. Subrat Saraf, convener of the conference addressed the delegates on the theme of the conference. Prashanth Prabhu, organising secretary delivered the Vote of thanks.

Roshan Ashar, Representative India & South Asia, University College Birmingham delivered the key notes.

Dr P S Aithal, vice chancellor, Srinivas University released the abstract books and conference proceedings received from various researchers and intellectuals across India. Many professors and research scholars from various colleges presented their paper on the theme.
