Udupi, Jan 5: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials from Bengaluru inspected the flat of the student Rihan Shaikh here for his suspected links with the cooker blast accused.
The flat is situated at Varamballi, Brahmavar taluk. The officials took into custody a few documents and questioned the family members of Rihan.
The NIA officials will be escorting the accused student to Bengaluru.

Mangaluru, Jan 5: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team from Bengaluru raided an engineering college situated in the outskirts of the city on Thursday January 5 in connection to the cooker bomb blast case that occurred at Nagori in the city in November last year.
The NIA officials, who interrogated Shariq, the main accused in the cooker bomb blast case, raided the college. Suspected terrorist Maz Muneer, who is already arrested has completed his engineering degree from the said college.

A seven-member NIA team from Bengaluru which conducted the raid took a student into custody had close contact with suspected terrorist Maz Muneer, who was arrested from Shivamogga. He was taken to Bengaluru by the NIA team.
The final year mechanical engineering student, a native of Udupi, is the one who is taken into custody by NIA. It is said that he was in continuous touch with Maz Muneer, who was said to have connection with ISIS and did experimental blast on Tunga river bank near Purale of Shivamogga.
Syed Yasin, Maz Muneer and Sharik Ahmed were arrested in connection with Shivamogga experimental blast case. Yasin had completed his engineering degree in Shivamogga, while Munir was studying in final year MTech in the said college. Shariq was working as a salesman in a cloth shop at Thirthahalli.
