Mangalore: MLA U T Khader Leads Delegation Surveying Sea Erosion Spots

Mangalore, May 30: MLA U T Khader led a delegation on Monday May 30 to undertake a survey on the sea-erosion prone spots - Hilary Nagar, Caico, Ullal beach, Mogaveerapatna, Kodi and Kotepura.

The team comprised assistant commissioner Prabhuling Kavalikatte, port officer Mohan Kudri, port engineer Sujan Kumar, Mogaveerpatna Mogaveera Sabha president Sadanand Bangera, Ashraf Bawa, Stella D’Souza, Dinesh Rai, Bhavani, and Basil D’Souza.

The process of calling global tenders for ADB-sponsored sea wall is underway, and a survey report to undertake temporary work at these sea-erosion prone spots in order to protect the residents and their property on the coast will be prepared and presented to the deputy commissioner to get state approval to begin urgent work.

    Come rainy seasons our politicians,government officers in Mangalore are busy in photo session/discussions/deliberations /processing tender formalities to present to the government for approval on sea erosion.This is a regular feature in Karavali for several years.Once this show is over they sleep over it to welcome summer and again wait for monsoon season to have a photo session show!Lag roho !!!

    Mr.Mohammed Don't you know the fact these people were busy in shaking CM's chair and I think now they have realised it is not so easy as they thought and allowed it take its own time to fell because JD-s has also decided likewise and can make a show of it.
