Prajadhwani Yatra to reach Mangaluru on Jan 22: District Congress president Harish Kumar

Mangaluru, Jan 20: “Prajadhwani Yatra that began at Belagavi will arrive in Mangaluru. A mass programme will be held at the Karavali grounds in the presence of senior Congress leaders,” said district Congress president Harish Kumar in a press conference.

He further said, “The BJP has failed in the state. It has indulged in wide corruption though the economic situation of the people is bad due to Covid. People of all ages are facing hardships. The government is not implementing any projects. The yatra is being held to condemn them.

“The state government has brought farmers to the streets. People are tired of GST and taxes. Meanwhile, Ashok Rai will officially join Congress. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar, Rozy John, M B Patil, KPCC in-charge Salim Ahmed, Madhu Bangarappa, Dhruva Narayan, H K Patil and others will participate in the programme,” he said.

MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Congress district publicity committee president Bharath Mundodi, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde and corporator Navin D’Souza were present.
