Bantwal: Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor inaugurates village stay programme

Bantwal, Jan 21: “There should be a permanent solution to the issues being faced by people in border villages. The government will be working sincerely towards them,” said Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor. He was speaking after inaugurating the village stay programme of deputy commissioner M R Ravikumar at the government high school, Manila on January 21.

“There should be solutions for revenue department issues, sand, red stones, title deeds etc. Ordinary people wish corruption free and swift action at government offices. The issues will be solved when the department of forest, revenue and rural development comes closer to the people,” he said.

Deputy commissioner Ravi Kumar said that village stay programme works effectively to solve the issues of people.

Vice president Rajesh Kumar Balekallu tabled a list of various demands. Manila gram panchayat president Vanitha, vice president Rajesh Kumar Balekallu, Mangaluru assistant commissioner Madan Mohan, project director K Jayaram, DDLR Niranjan and tahsildar Dayanand were on the dais.

Deputy tahsildar Vijaya Vikrama welcomed. Umanath Rai Meravu compered the programme. Deputy tahsildar Navin Benjanapadav rendered a vote of thanks. Facilities of various departments were made available on the occasion.
