Mangaluru: Upset over husband not heeding to request, wife ends life

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Jan 24: In a bizarre incident, which turned tragic, a woman who was distraught by the fact that her husband refused to accompany her back home after finishing dinner at the programme of their neighbour’s house, ended her life.

The incident occurred on Sunday at Bala village under Surathkal police station limits. The deceased is identified as Divya (26), wife of Harish.

Divya was working in a medical in Mangaluru. She got married to Harish in March 2022 after falling in love with him.

Both Divya and Harish were a loving couple. On Saturday, they had been to a function that took place in their neighbourhood. After finishing the dinner at the said programme, Divya pestered her husband to return home. When he refused, Divya went home alone.

Divya was terribly upset on the fact that her husband refused to heed to her request. On Sunday afternoon, she killed herself in her bedroom by hanging to a fan.

Surathkal police are investigating further.

RIP!! If the report is true then it's the utter folly of a matured woman to kill herself for a silly reason! Now who is the loser her; she herself and her parents; over a period of time, her husband will forget her and get married again!!

Whatever difficulties or tensions may be, ending our life is a GREAT SIN. Gods curse will fall on the person who ends life by himself/herself. It is fully GODs job to give life & take it back. Giving difficulties, tensions is a trail given by GOD to every person in some or other time. We should accept this truth of life. if everybody accept this truth nobody ends life himself/herself

To hear it sounds silly but actually, one never knows what is the trigger? Also, this is the sad truth because we live in a society where women cannot live alone. As soon as the girl is mature, find a man and get married, whether he is good or bad, don't come home. If you come home, the brother and his wife will harass you for property. Parents don't want to educate the daughters, make them independent, the government is causing incessant inflation, what other option is remaining to these hapless ladies?

As reported, if this was the actual reason the lady ended her life then it's crazy to say the least. Is this even a reason to end such a beautiful life? We all need to control our emotions and avoid taking decisions in the heat of the moment. Had she distracted herself for a few hours, she could have avoided this tragedy. Lot of people endure enormous hardships in life every day and still live life in a fighting spirit. We need to get inspired by such people and not give up so easily. Om Shanthi!

This is a very sad case. But the wife should know that she does not own the man. Most wives think they do. They order the husband what to do, what not to do 24 x 7. The husband is not allowed by the wife to do something of his own choice. So it is best that the man marries after his girlfriend becomes 40 years of age. Until then the man can do as he pleases, without a 24x7 boss to order him about.

If the husband is perfect and right and is disciplined, and carry on his responsibilities as a husband without keeping paramours/staying away from home till late/without hiding his affairs....THEN, HE NEED NOT LISTEN TO HIS WIFE....Why he is listening because he is at fault....In this case, both had a love marriage. In the whole world, dont think that only women are bossing. There are innumerable husbands who boss over their wife and then kill them...

But its a known fact how married men are taken for granted. We know how its joked always that the husband is tamed after marriage. They are expected to be like a joru ka gulaam to maintain family, tolerate everything and suffer silently. Its not easy for all men to breakfree.

Wow.. look at you madam..You have passed the judgement towards husband without any second thought..The news says the reason clearly as to why the wife hanged herself but still you want to bash husband..There is nothing to comment here when the wife commits suicide for a reason as silly as this..Thats why elders say that when you are in extreme rage or distress, black out your mind and wait for 5 minutes before taking any decision.. The 5 minute will make you rethink on your decision..

Now a days mental strength of people has become very fragile... Husband may have stayed back with friends for a drink more or just to be around with them... There is not so much to get so upset over a near common incident like this... There may be deeper instigation than that... However it is a loss of precious life at such young age... RIP to the departed soul...
