Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal to hold 'Shaurya Yatre' on Jan 29

Mangaluru, Jan 25: “Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) youth wing Bajrang Dal will hold 'Shaurya Yatre' (Gallantry March) to mark the demolition of Babri Masjid as Gallantry Day for the youth of Bajrang Dal,” said district secretary Shivananda Mendon leaders of VHP.

He was addressing a press meet at VHP office in Kadri.

"From next year, Shaurya Yatre will be observed in all taluks of the country in the name of Geetha Jayanthi. More than 2000 activists will take part in the march wearing the uniform of Bajrang Dal and by holding a saffron flag and stick," he said.

He also said that the march is not to threaten anyone and he denied any political intention behind the march.

"The 'Shaurya Yatre' will be held on January 29. The rally will commence at 3 pm from Ullalbail through Krishnanagara-Olapete Overbridge-Thokkottu junction-Kapikad-overbridge and will culminate at Shri Vaidhyanatha Chavadi Ullalabail. The stage programme will start at 5 pm,” he added.

Bajrang Dal national coordinator Neeraj Doneria will be the prominent speaker at the event. President of Jnanaratna Educational Trust Nidoddi Bhaskar Devasya will preside. VHP leaders Prof M B Puranik, Sharan Pumpwell, and Gopal Kuthar, and Bhujanga Kulal of Bajrang Dal will be present.

Bajrang Dal leaders Bhujanga Kulal, Punith Attavar and Naveen Moodushedde were present at the press meet.
