Kaup, Feb 13: Family members of deceased Sharath Shetty, who was murdered by assailants on February 5, have sought divine intervention in tracing the killers.

Nema ritual for Sri Dhoomavati and Parivara Daivas was held on Friday night at the house family members of deceased Sharath Shetty.

Relatives prayed the deity to help the police in nabbing the killers and see that they get stringent punishment.

It is learnt that Dhoomavati Daiva promised the family members of Sharath Shetty that the killers will be brought to justice and said, “Let whomsoever be the accused, those who have killed a person, who was popular and socially helpful, on the day of Nema of Pangala Padpu Babbuswamy Daiva itself and brought bad name for the society, I will make them get into the dragnet of law. They will definitely get suitable punishment for their wrong deed. Along with punishment of law, the daivas will also punish them. Within 10 days all the accused will be in the custody of police.”

Sharath Shetty, who was popular in religious and social activities in and around Pangala was called out on pretext of holding some discussion, while the Nema ritual was in progress and hacked to death a week ago.
