Mangaluru: Four absconding accused in different cases arrested

Mangaluru, Feb 17: Bajpe police arrested four absconding accused, who were underground for some years.

In the first case Pradeep Poojary alias Pradi alias Chethana (27), resident of Ulaibettu, was arrested from Kulai on February 16. Various cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, assault on police and bike theft are registered on Pradeep in various police stations of Mangaluru and DK. He has been absconding since 2020.

In the second case Prashant alias Pacchu (39), resident of Bolooru Katte of Mangaluru, who is accused in a murder case that is registered in Bajpe police station and absconding, was arrested from Kundapur on February 15.

In the third case, Tarhib Afnan Patel (33), resident of Bhatkal, accused in dacoity case pertaining to 2019 that was registered at Bajpe police station, was arrested from Bhatkal on February 15.

In the fourth case, Suresh Kumar (38), resident of Shivalli in Udupi accused in MMRD case that was registered in 2021 in Bajpe police station was arrested on February 15 from Kundapur.

The four absconding warrant accused were apprehended by a team of Bajpe police station led by inspector Prakash. They are produced to the court.
