Mangaluru: Portable scanner implemented by police for night beat

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Feb 20: Portable scanner is effectively used during night beat by personnel of all police stations under the limits of Dakshina Kannada district. This is mainly used during the inquiry of suspects who roam during night.

This new Mobile Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (MCCTNS) portable scanner is used to prevent crime that might take place during night.

In addition to verbal inquiry of strangers and suspected people this technique helps in tracing the criminal record of the person. Finger print of the suspect is used to identify his background on the spot. This information was shared by SP Dr Vikram Amate.

This is good development... As we are approaching state elections miscreants will try to spread anarchy.... Mostly rowdy sheeters only are used for heinous activities... These special devices can recognize suspicious fellows by facial scanning...
