Bengaluru: Kanara Entrepreneurs spark healthy note for 2023 at members’ meet

Bengaluru, Feb 24: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) led their first members’ meet of the year on a resolute note this at The Grand Magrath Hotel with a focus on health and wellness. The well-presented theme sparked avid curiosity from attending members who strongly resonated with the erstwhile idea of unsustainable resolutions. The creative icebreaker got members to assess their lung capacity by blowing balloons and engaging in movement promptly thereafter by resettling themselves at tables with a unique colored balloons.

Following the KE prayer led by Leena Lobo, KE president, Clarence Pereira addressed the evening with a unique acronym BUDGET: Build relationships, Use the network efficiently, Discuss needs, stay Grounded and remain humble, Engage with friends and associates, Take time off and a break at least once a year.

The keynote speakers for the evening, Shona Prabhu (Nutrifymydiet) and Manish Michael (SeniorJi) shared their expertise in a lively fireside chat captivatingly moderated by Nishan Pereira. Shona and Manish engaged the members with their knowledge and some enjoyable physical activity as well as giving away spot prizes for questions and a surprise table snack of fresh vegetable sticks. They concluded the conversation with an interactive Q&A and parting advice to start where anyone is, take small steps and to remember that health and wellness was directly proportional to the happiness of family.

Next, Anoop Sequeira, director mentoring, shared key achievements by KE members and highlighted the public speaking workshop that had concluded earlier that evening and spearheaded by KE president elect, Claudius Pereira and himself. KE Members Jude Ferrao and Oswald D’Souza also shared their firsthand experience of the successful workshop. The 8-week KE speakers’ forum that would commence in March was also opened for registration.

Before the meeting segued into networking and dinner, members were enthralled by a melodious violin performance by Chris D’Souza, KE member Carol D’Souza’s son as part of the Musicians@KE segment.

Dr Bryan Menezes emceed the evening with his well-placed humour and successfully containing the meet.
