In his inaugural speech, Dr Vidyavallabha Theertharu said, "I congratulate Dr Raghavendra Rao for organising the World Sanskrit conference and his contribution towards Sanskrit needs to be appreciated. The conference is a platform to spread awareness and importance about Sanskrit language to the people."

Mangaluru North MLA Dr Bharath Y Shetty said, "I congratulate Srinivas University for going ahead with this programme. We have never thought of history and what it is made up of. I hope this three-day conference will ignite students to learn Sanskrit. Most of the English words are derived from Sanskrit. The theory of gravitation was invented by Bhaskar Acharya and other such inventions have come from our ancestors which have been never taught. Even Thakshashila University which is the oldest university was destroyed by the invaders as they were unaware about what was been taught as our knowledge was destroyed. The three-day conference will surely help everyone to learn and gain knowledge about our oldest language - Sanskrit."

Chairperson of NMPA, Dr Venkata Ramana Akkaraju said, "Sanskrit is so strong as much as our culture. Despite the invasions in the past we have the same glory, vision and culture and this is the strength of India. Sanskrit is a friendly language which is easy to learn. Sanskrit is the backbone of India's unity and the encyclopedia of science and technology. Due to influence of foriegn invasion we forgot our culture. Sanskrit will be the future language for computer science."

Co-convenor Dr B Gopalachar said, "Srinivas University under the aegis of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao had a strong vision to organise World Sanskrit Conference so that our culture reaches globally. I urge everyone to support Srinivas University for the revolution in Sanskrit research."

He requested the government to introduce reservation for students passing out their degree with second language Sanskrit to promote popularity of this language.
