Mangaluru: Special screening of ‘Koramma’ Tulu film to be held on Feb 25

Mangaluru, Feb 25: The special screening of ‘Koramma’ Tulu film written and directed by Shivadhwaj Shetty who has been serving in Kannada and Tulu film industry as actor, director and producer for the last 25 years will be held at Big Cinemas, Bharath Mall here at 3.30 pm on February 25.

“I have selected what I have seen in our land since my childhood as the storyline for the film. I made ‘Gaggara’ Tulu film on Bhoothakola earlier which had received the state and national awards,” he said.

Koramma works for village head Manjayya Heggade as his right hand man and believes that he will not have an identity if he leaves the job. The son of Manjayya Heggade dislikes Koramma. Koramma does not plan to get married unless the son of Manjayya Heggade does not get married. The conditions the relationship between the employer and the worker changes is the story of the film. Shivadhwaj Shetty says that we have seen Koramma and Majayya Heggade in our lives and believes that the story will touch everybody.

Ishwaridas Shetty and Rajeshwari Rai have produced the film. The film is presented by Adyar Madhava Nayak. Mohan Sheni, Bindu Rakshidi, Guru Hegde, Roopa Varkady, Lakshman Kumar Mallur, Jinaprasad, Divyashree Nayak and others are in the cast. Most of the artistes in the film are local people.
