Kundapur: Pickup vehicle crashes into auto rickshaw, woman critically injured

Kundapur, Feb 25: A speeding pick-up vehicle rammed into an auto-rickshaw near Moovathumudi bridge, near Hemmadi, NH 66 on Saturday February 25 evening.

A woman who was travelling in the auto-rickshaw was critically injured in the mishap. While the auto rickshaw climbed the divider, the pick-up vehicle got down from the road and stopped at the border of a roadside lake.

Out of two people who were in the pick-up vehicle, the driver escaped with minor injuries. There were four people in the auto-rickshaw. Both the vehicles were heading towards Kundapur from Trasi.

A case in this connection is registered at Kundapur traffic police station.

    Looks like over speed of pick up truck caused this disaster. There must be speed checking on highways to prevent accidents. Rash driving needs severe punishment

    This pick ups do not have speed limits their driving is always rash and wrong entries. This all pick ups carry food products for them life doesn't matters but food matters.
