Bantwal: Truck carrying dry grass gutted in fire near Kalladka

Bantwal, Feb 26: A truck carrying dry grass from Hassan to Mangaluru caught fire and burnt down completely on Saturday at Dasakodi near Kalladka.

Fire was noticed while the truck was moving on the highway. It is said that the fire must have erupted due to a short circuit in the battery. Bantwal fire service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

In addition, fire was noticed at hill areas of Bollai near Sajipamooda, Bantaguri near Modankap and Pallamajalu. Bantwal and Mangaluru fire service forces brought the fire under control.
