Daiji Dubai to celebrate its 23rd anniversary with grandeur on Apr 30

Dubai, Mar 1: Daiji Dubai, the Forum of Konkani Writers in the UAE will celebrate its 23rd anniversary with the usual grandeur at Emirates Theatre, Jumeirah Dubai on April 30 at 4:30 pm.

‘Daiji Anniversary’ which has always been a high profile and professionally managed entertainment programme is considered one of the prestigious Konkani events and is being patronized by a large audience every year. During the event, prestigious ‘Daiji Puroskar’ will be awarded to a Konkani literature personality. This year the award will be bestowed on noted Konkani promoter, novelist, and short story writer Valley Quadras, Ajekar.

The 23rd anniversary is going to be bigger and better than ever. An immensely gifted Konkani Drama troupe ‘Astitva Mangalore’ led by Christy Ninasam will entertain the Konkani audience of UAE with their hit drama ‘Salgi’ and new comedy drama ‘Jugari’. It will be a twin drama feast to Konkani lovers of UAE with a motto ‘One language, one culture, One Place and One heart’.

Nanu Marol Thottam, convener of Daiji Dubai has earnestly requested the support of Konkani community in Dubai through their presence and participation. Besides its cultural identity, ‘Daiji Dubai’ is also associated with many worthy social causes thereby motivating other people and organizations worldwide.
