Kundapur: Farmer electrocuted while plucking arecanuts

Kundapur, Mar 2: A farmer died of electrocution while working in areca nut plantations on Thursday. The incident took place at Konki, Nada grama, Byndoor, and the deceased has been identified as Bhujanga Shetty, a resident of Konki Angadimane.

Shetty was plucking areca nuts in the plantations near his house when the metal hook he was using accidentally touched the HT electric cables, resulting in his death from electrocution.

The Gangolli police station PSI Vinay and staff visited the spot and conducted an inquest. A case has been registered in connection with the incident at Gangolli police station.

    Very sad.Looks trees are very close to trees and in monsoon it can come to further accidents :Kindly avoid that and please let either trees near the electric wires cut off or atleast cut the wedels now itself.Best is Immediately try to replace the electric place just away from trees.Already mischap is happened .Dont take risk for a second.May his soul may rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to family.
