Udupi, Mar 2: In a tragic incident occurred in Karavali bypass here, a 25-year-old youth, identified as Ganapathi Pai, lost his life after his two-wheeler collided with a tempo on March 1.
Ganapathi was travelling from Karavali bypass towards Santhekatte in the service road when the accident took place. He lost control over his scooter and collided with the tempo travelling from the opposite direction. Sadly, Ganapathi succumbed to his injuries.
He is survived by his mother, and was working in a private company in Santhekatte. Ganapathi was in the final stages of building a new house for his family which was soon to be inaugurated.
A case has been filed at the Udupi traffic police station.
