Mangaluru, Mar 2: The Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate has registered a case under section 306 of the IPC (abetment of suicide) against three individuals in connection with the death of a woman and her four-year-old daughter. The incident occurred on March 1 at 6th Cross, Kodialbail, under the jurisdiction of Barke police station limits.

According to reports, the woman, identified as Vijaya (33), along with her daughters Shobika (4) and a 12-year-old, had attempted to end their lives by hanging after writing a death note. The 12-year-old managed to survive and informed a complainant over the phone about the tragedy. Upon arriving at the scene, the complainant discovered Vijaya and her other daughter hanging from a fan in the hall.

Prior to committing suicide, Vijaya wrote a death note with the help of her daughter, accusing Keshava, a resident of Jeppinamogaru, and two others named Babu and Mamatha of instigating her to take the drastic step.
