Doha: ICC bids farewell to social activist Pallash Kumar Das

Doha, Mar 12: Indian Cultural Centre along with apex bodies, associated organisation, senior community leaders bid farewell to Pallash Kumar Das who is leaving Qatar after 15 years of professional and social service to the Indian community.

Pallash Kumar Das was ICC MC member from 2014-16, ICC Advisory council member from 2018– 20. He has actively worked with associated organizations, A Qatar Assam Society / Samanvayam.

 

P N Babu Rajan ICC president recalled his association as a social activist and that Das was always ready to serve the Indian community in good times as well in many troubled conditions in mother land.

As a professional many structures standing in Qatar were designed by him as a consultant and he did an outstanding job. ICC and Indian Community presented a memento as recognition of his services to all Indians in various capacities.

Pallash Kumar Das expressed that, the day will be memorable in his life and thanked each one present in the farewell meet. After his stint of 15 years service in Qatar, he will be moving to his next mission and assignment.

All the speakers associated with him Nilagshu Day, H P Singh Bullar, A P Manikantan, K S Prasad Vinod Nair, Avinash Gaekwad, Raja Vijayan and many more recalled their memories and conveyed their best wishes to Pallash and family.

Krishna Kumar Bandhakavi ICC general secretary, was master of ceremony who steered the event and recalled Pallash Kumar Das's milestone achievements during his stay in Qatar.

Subramanaya Hebbagelu, vice president ICC, delivered the vote of thanks.
