Sullia: Causing death of girl student – School bus driver sentenced to one year in prison

Sullia, Mar 25: The court here sentenced a school bus driver, who caused the death of a girl student in 2018 due to negligent driving, to one year in prison.

Dhananjaya is the person who is convicted by the court.

On February 12, 2018, due to Dhananjaya’s negligence, Agneya Balu, girl student of KVG IPS School fell under the wheels of the bus at Biliyaru near Aranthodu in the taluk.

The court pronounced Dhananjaya as guilty and sentenced him to one year in prison and slapped a fine of Rs 5000. If the convict fails to pay a fine, then he has to undergo an additional prison sentence of one month.

Second accused Dinesh was acquitted by the court.

    For defamation two year imprisonment and for for death due to negligence one year... Sad state of law and order in our country... No value for life... hence we see so many accidents happening everyday... Nobody is scared of law and order
