Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal workers raid Holi DJ party, vandalize premises; arrested

Mangaluru, Mar 26: In an act of moral policing, some workers of Bajrang Dal (BD) barged into a DJ party that was taking place at Maroli in the city to celebrate Holi festival and vandalized the premises.

The party was going on in the name of Rang De Barsa. Young girls and boys were enjoying by spraying colours on one another. BD workers attacked the programme saying that the youths are showing indecent behaviour.

They also accused that the Holi is being celebrated with youths of different religion.

The Bajrang Dal workers tore the banners of Holi and smashed many other items in the premises. 

In addition, BD activists tried to assault the organizers as well as other youths in the party.

Police intervened and took the BD workers into custody. Ganesh Attavar, Jai Prashanth, Balchender, Akshay, Chirag and Mithun are the detained Bajrang Dal workers.
