Shah Rukh Explains Six-year Absence at IIFA

Daijiworld Media Network

Toronto, Jun 25: Speculations are rife over why King Khan is attending IIFA this year, after having missed the event for the past six years.

Rumour mills are abuzz with the theory that perhaps Big B's presence as the IIFA brand ambassador had anything to do with it. After all, it isn't the first time that the two icons have crossed paths.

However, Shah Rukh Khan rubbished such speculations and said that the reason for his absence was that his children's holidays coincided with the IIFA every time and he wanted to spend time with them. So how about this time?

Well, this time his children Aryan and Suhana are already in New York and will be joining him for the event.

"All actors may not be able to attend it despite an invitation because of their schedules," he said.

SRK, who is nursing a knee injury will perform at IIFA. He will be undergoing a surgery next month.
