Bantwal, Mar 29: A woman residing at Karopady here has lodged a police complaint at Vittal police station that due to their objection to the drainage work, a gang illegally barged into their house, hurled expletives at her and her father, threatened to kill them and set fire to the room where firewood was stored.

Mohammed had objected to the drainage work in front of their house by their neighbours Razak and Moose Kaleem.

Zara, daughter of Mohammed stated in the police complaint that Razak and Moose Kaleem joined, pushed Mohammed, posed death threats, illegally barged into the verandah of the house, broke the window, hurled expletives, set fire to the firewood store room and fled.

The room where the firewood was stored was gutted and window panes were broken causing a loss of Rs 25,000.
