Chennai, Jun 26: The well-accepted '180' is expected to make waves around the country. The first feature film by Jayendra is now fetching him comparisons with one of Tamil's great directors Mani Ratnam. Though it is too early to compare, Jayendra's first step has surely made a special impact.

Jayendra Panchapakesan, who is mainly known for his short advertisement-based films and technological revolution, has finally come out with full-fledged movie.

Jayendra has tried his best to bring a real life story on to the screen, a story which he came across on the internet. More than 50% of the movie has been shot in USA, and the rest in India. As the movie is made in Tamil and Telugu, shooting was done twice.

The movie cast:

Cast - Siddharth, Priya Anand, Nithya Menen
Banner - Sathyam Cinemas, Aghal Films
Director - Jayendra
Music - Sharreth

Short Reviews:

DNA says:

180 feels like there was an explosion at the sob story factory and little pieces from dozens of different films were jammed together into one dreadful mutant. The whole terminal illness melodrama attacks your chest so relentlessly, that by the time it's over you’re forced to beg for a defibrillator.

Galatta says:

As for the performances Siddarth carries the entire movie on his shoulders and at no point does he show the slightest strain. Priya looks gorgeous. Special applause to the stylist! Going beyond looks, we must add that in terms of acting and emoting, she is on target. Nithya Menen as the effervescent journo does her part well. In the few scenes in which they appear, Geetha and Mouli (as the elderly couple that owns Mano's rented apartment) prove their expertise as veteran actors!
