New Delhi, July 1 (IANS) Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has made a film inspired by the true story of the heinous murder of Neeraj Grover, says he wants to sign Kannada actress Maria Susairaj, who has been sentenced to a three-year term for destroying evidence after the television executive's murder.
"Maria susairaj wanted to become famous as an actress and she became famous as a murdress..if things went well it could have been a 'Rangeela' for her. Since things went wrong, her dreams of becoming an actress went for a toss," Varma wrote on microblogging site Twitter.
"Now that she has been released I want to sign Maria susairaj for a film," he further posted.
Grover was stabbed to death by former navy officer and Susairaj's boyfriend Jerome Mathew in her flat and he has been sentenced to 10 years in jail. The actress was Thursday convicted of destroying evidence, but would walk free for time done as an undertrial.
