Udupi, May 3: Congress spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh on Wednesday May 4 said, "Prime Minister and company refuse to speak about scam-ridden 40 percent BJP government and are merely looking for excuses to polarise the election. For Modi and BJP, each election is about divisions on grounds of religion instead of answering the basic issues of corruption, back-breaking price rise, rampant unemployment, ugly and unacceptable concentration of wealth and an all-pervading atmosphere of hate."
Speaking in a press conference herein Udupi, he further said, "The constitution and law are clear, to take decisive action as per law against any individual or organization spreading hatred or enmity on the grounds of caste or religion. The duty to follow Raj Dharma is of Prime Minister and chief minister but they refuse to do so.
"To compare Lord Hanuman as synonymous to any individual or organisation is an insult and PM is hurting the feelings and sentiments of millions of Hanumam bhakts.
"Lord Hanuman depicts piousness Lord Hanuman depicts commitment to reverence and duty. Lord Hanuman symbolizes service and sacrifice.
"Millions of Hanuman bhakts will fight this with full rigor. Prime minister has committed a sin on Tuesday by equating Lord Hanuman with a organization".
"We are more focused on the implementation of the Karavali charter which includes strengthening and giving autonomous status to Karavali Development Board with a budget of Rs 500 crore per year or Rs 2500 crore for 5 years.
