Kaup: 58-year-old killed on spot in motorcycle-tempo collision

Kaup, May 10: A man riding a motorcycle was killed on the spot as his vehicle was hit by a tempo at Subhash Nagara of Katapadi on Tuesday May 9.

The deceased is identified as Srinivasa Rao (58), a resident of Innanje Madumbu. Rao was a priest by profession and was going towards Katapadi from Innanje for some work.

Srinivas Rao was thrown on the road due to the impact of the collision by the tempo and received grievous injuries to his head and died on the spot.

Tempo driver Ravi Madiwala was taken into custody by the Kaup police. Rao is survived by wife, son and daughter.
