No question of alliance with JD-S, Congress will win 146 seats: D K Shivakumar

Bengaluru, May 11 (IANS): Congress' Karnataka President D.K. Shivakumar, who is a CM aspirant if his party is voted to power, on Wednesday stated that there is no question of an alliance with JD-S to form the government as the Congress will have the numbers.

Talking to reporters after some post-poll surveys, after the voting, indicated a hung Assembly, he said: "I don't believe in the numbers shown in the post poll surveys. As I have said, I am committed to my statement of Congress winning 146 seats in the elections."

"The voters of Karnataka are intelligent. They have lost trust in the double engine government and they are optimistic about the Congress. There is no question of an alliance with other political parties," he maintained.

Meanwhile, Congress workers are celebrating the post poll survey predictions across the state which are indicating a simple majority to the party. There are reports of bursting of crackers and celebrations from many regions of the state.

Everyone here is now an exit poll expert and some are writing 150+ for congress even more than what DKS & exit polls have analyzed . Not sure from whom and where these individuals are getting these numbers. Hope it's not the ML of spirit consumed! For now it's best to go by the exit poll number from major news channels who for years are working on poll analysis. One common thread from all exit polls is that the ruling party will not get a majority. 40% commission, the lingayat pull out and creation of disharmony from communal agenda is likely to bite the ruling party badly. This will also send a message across the nation and to many political observers

From the time exit polls are released our PM and HM have gone in hiding. May be they are working on horse trading formulas. Today the Supreme Court has come down heavily on Modi's decision to impose LG over elected CM of Delhi. With every passing day Modi is getting cornered. A PM who hides the teleprompters he uses to give long lectures from his own fellow citizens can go to any extent to retain power. Height of arrogance, pride and Show off.

To defame Shivakumar & tarnish his political career, BJP hatched so many IT raids and made use of CBI other sources to fix him but all ivain. Where is proof? BJP is surviving by abusing and falsification of opposition party member's name. Ultimately, voters have have used their rational power and brain to vote away from double cross BJP vultures.

Alligning with JDS is the only and best option. But Congress-JDS has to be on alert. The BJP will keep quiet till assembly polls of 2024 . After that it will play Operation Kamala and topple the coalition.

I saw 10 exit polls this morning. 4 exit polls says Congress will win, 3 Says BJP , 3 says hung assembly. Polls of Polls says 'hung assembly'. Meanwhile, If JDS does not support BJP, then Devegowda may lose his party just like Uddhav in Maharashtra. He experienced it once last time. Unless Congress gets very clear thumping maiority, they dont have any shot at forming the Govt. Anyways lets wait for another 48 hours.

It’s a great initiative not to align with JD-S. Simple reason, it can’t function more than arm twisting setup. It may have had some ideological relevance years back, today there is nothing left. But to the question voters have become intelligent, it is not the case. The other day watched a video of a lady arguing with a boy, on Bangalore roadblocks. She is claiming inconvenience to students, working class rushing to write exams or offices is okey, because PM of the country is in election canvassing. These kids will lose their career or office goers their wages, yet the seemingly well-educated English speaking lady says it is all fine and it is patriotic.

Taking support of JDS will be like swallowing hot ghee... Neither can you gulp nor can you spit... They will remain continuous pain in the aas paas... Just like in laws torturing the bride for dowry.... Though socialist on face the lust for wealth oozes out from them... But most likely Kumara will have a say unless one third members split from the party to join other party...
