BJP-JDS alliance can't be ruled out in state, says M P Renukacharya

Bengaluru, May 11 (IANS): A day after polling was held for 224 Assembly seats in Karnataka, the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Honnali constituency in the state's Davanegre district, M.P. Renukacharya on Thursday said that an alliance with the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) cannot be ruled out in case of a hung Assembly.

"If such a situation emerges, an alliance might happen with the JD-S," he told reporters. The remarks of Renukacharya, who is close to former Chief Minister and veteran party leader B.S. Yediyurappa, assume significance in the current scenario, with some exit polls also predicting a hung Assembly in the state.

Renukacharya, who contested as a BJP nominee from Honnali, further said that "to date, there was no tacit understanding with the JD-S".

Reacting to exit polls predictions, Renukacharya said the party leaders know the pulse of the people as well as party workers.

"People have voted for BJP despite what media reports suggest. I am not blaming (anyone) here. BJP will come to power in Karnataka," he said.

At the same time, he also said: "I will not fully push aside the media reports. We predicted 150 seats. Now (it seems), the BJP will get more than 125 seats. We know the pulse of workers at rural areas.

"Our national leaders will decide if any need for an alliance arises. That situation might also arise. That will be decided after the results," he said.

The results of the Assembly elections held on Wednesday will announced on May 13.

Yes, agreed that you make very cosy and comfortable partners. Appa Maga are responsible for making the BJP which was otherwise a fringe party in Karnataka into a major party. First it was by backstabbing Dharam Singh for the CM's chair and then it was the same greed which allowed the BJP to play the victim card and come to power. Everybody knows history.

This is confusing, DKS had a meeting with HDK prior to the latter leaving for Singapore requesting support. BJP too is planning something sitting in Delhi . Shobakka says that BJP will get majority. Siddu says he will be the CM as Congress will sweep Polls. Dodda Gowdru is all set to rule Karnataka as King in the Kingmaker role. So who should we believe?

Kummy uncle is a clever bloke. Currently he is balling around in Singapore in the guise of medical treatment. He just told NDTV that BJP and Congress have reached out to him. So its obvious the highest bidder will get the support. As simple as that.

Today's India is not about sacrifice that our founding fathers exemplified. It is power, absolute power, and greed. The benefactors are the kith and kin who are gifted with enormous wealth that even if the siblings fought with one another there is enough for all to last another two generations.

There are about 10 exit polls bro. You cannot stick to one! . Also its just 70 to 80% accurate, Its not 100 percent sure. Last time 6 exit polls said BJP would win a majority, we know what happened.

JDS should not fool around saying Secular -- JDS -- can remove" S " -- if they join bjp -- The Holy Roman Empire was Neither Holy, Nor Roman, Nor an Empire -- Voltaire had quipped -- So JDS in future -- neither Janata as with corporates nor Dal nor secular -- will implode by contradictions -- only Family party -- like wise BJP criticises DYNASTY politics but willing to join a dynast for sheer power --

    O. K. alliance with BJP. BSY will become CM but history will repeat itself that BSY will not complete term. BJP is found of dynasty politics. By the way JDS should win enough seats to get to 113 with BJP.
