Mumbai: Bhandary Seva Samiti Distributes Scholarships to Over 100 Students

Mumbai, Jul 11: Bhandary Seva Samiti organized a scholarship distribution programme for students who scored distinctions in the recently held SSC and HSC exams, here at Ambika Adinateshwar Mahaganapati temple auditorium, Vidyavihar (West) on Sunday July 10 evening.

BSS distributed scholarships to over 100 pupils.

In his inaugural speech the temple chief priest Vedamurti Pernankila Haridas Bhat said that students do not belong to any specific religion, caste or creed and understanding this value makes a true citizen. He urged the students to concentrate on their studies by giving due attention to personality development for facing challenges in this competitive era.

GSB Mandal Mumbai and HDFC Bank vice-president Gurunat Rao was the chief guest and Samiti president Balakrishna P Bhandary presided over the programme.

Social worker Polya Umesh Shetty, lawyer B Subash Shetty, Puttur Balakrishna Bhandary and Samiti advisory committee president lawyer Sundar G Bhandary shared the dais with others.

The Samiti vice-president Vijayanand Bhandary, honorary treasurer Ramesh Bhandary, joint secretary Narayan Bhandary, joint treasurer Prabhakar Bhandary, women wing secretary Vanita Bhandary, senior Bhandary community member Sanjeev Bhandary of Chira Bazaar and others were present.

Lawyer R M Bhandary welcomed the gathering. Sarita K B compered the programme.
