Mangaluru, May 12: A 19-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, who consumed position in a bid to end their lives, died on Friday, May 12, in a private hospital at Deralakatte.
The deceased were identified as Bantwal resident Niyan and Kankanady resident Safrina. They consumed poison near Pumpwell here to end their lives on May 7. They were admitted to a private hospital at Deralakatte.
While Safrina died in the hospital on Friday in the morning without responding to treatment, Niyan died in the evening. However, the reason for them to take this extreme step is not known.
A case in this connection has been registered at Kankanady police station.
