Mangaluru, May 15: Tragic struck a family on Monday, May 15, as the father of the bride passed away due to a heart attack on his daughter's wedding day at Konaje.

The unfortunate incident took place at Kuchagudde, Boliar, Konaje.

The deceased, identified as Hasanabba (60), was a resident of Kukkottu, Boliar.

The wedding between his daughter and a young man from Kasargod was scheduled to take place at an auditorium in Hosangadi. However, in the early morning hours at 4 am, Hasanabba experienced severe chest pain. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, it was not possible, and he succumbed to the heart attack.

Hasanabba served as the treasurer of Kukkottu Juma Masjid and is survived by two sons and two daughters. The wedding celebrations at the auditorium were canceled, and the Nikah ceremony was conducted in a simple manner at the groom's residence in the evening after consultations with the elders from both families.
