Mumbai, Jul 13: After Aishwarya Rai’s pregnancy forced her to abandon Madhur Bhandarkar's movie 'Heroine', the director had reportedly slipped into depression at the prospect of closing the curtains on the 'most ambitious project' of his career.
But now, Bhandarkar is said to have approached leading actress of Bollywood Kareena Kapoor to replace Aishwarya in the movie.
Sources say that the script for Heroine was initially written keeping Kareena in mind.
Since Kareena raised objection over a few intimate scenes in the movie, Madhur convinced Ash to play the lead after toning down certain bold scenes.
However, it is learnt that the actress has not committed anything as of yet.
At a press conference, on being questioned about her association with Madhur’s 'Heroine', Bebo chose to remain tight-lipped about it, without either accepting nor denying the news.
