Puttur: Brutal beating of accused - SI, constable suspended, inquiry against DySP

Puttur, May 18: Father of one of the accused in the case related to displaying of poster of BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel and former chief minister Sadananda Gowda with garland of footwear at town bus stand here, who was beaten severely by the Puttur rural police station personnel, filed a complaint against the erring policemen.

Venunatha, a resident of Narimogru and father of accused Avinash filed a complaint against DySP, sub inspector and constable of Puttur rural police station.

The investigation of the case is handed over to DySP of Bantwal. According to the inquiry report of additional SP, sub inspector and constable Harshith of Puttur rural police station are suspended from service. A departmental inquiry is ordered against DySP.

    I am pretty sure., all the REAL Hinduism followers' heart may be bleeding to see the permanent damage caused to our fellow citizens., Feel like this shouldn't happen to any our worst enemy., by looking at the damage caused, It seems these youths' life/dreams would have permanently impaired..., Political leaders must reflect some degree of tolerance to humour.., and in public life Congi leaders getting every day and every corner these kind of abusive humour..., and they have the apetite to absorb & ignore the shame.. as it can't be stoped.., in public life it is common.,

    O my god look at their wounds. Terrible. Police are not human.they act like animals. To beat like that what crime they did? Many murderers, rapists thieves never get beaten up like this!! Thieves who looted banks enjoying in abroad Why for common man? Beat these police also like that then they will come to know the pain and agony

    If at all people of DK had voted in favour of Congress, chances of such in human, cruel & brutality by police would have been controlled. Still BJP is in power in DK & Udupi and rowdyism is maintained for their satisfaction. BJP remember that Lok Saba elections are nearing and start glorifying your bad deeds and its consequences. Also start dreaming of 2/3rd majority in 2024 elections.

    Its understood who ordered them ? Last time some three years before one of the Dk politicians was hitting the table of the policemen and he was frightening them...videos were viralled....This is the gift they are giving to their own party activists....Now no HINDUTVA no religion no caste....

    Actually you are right Kuju...such unemployed goons might have been involved in pub attacks of mangalore also...and we all know how the girls got manhandled and molested, gold chains got stolen etc by these same kind of goons under the garb of protecting hindu culture...so i guess getting royally beaten up by the police in this scenario for criticising their BJP leaders should be considered as protecting hindu culture..although i am a congress supporter, let these goons get a taste of their own medicine, serves them right.

    real kujuma kodial ,if you leave them without punishment for beating ,it will continue further.Have to inquire .First of all ,they are only Police people ,to control and take if any complains ,not to punish them.They should be thrown out ,not suspend and join duty elsewhere after some time.They too should be punished.Arrested one or complainer shouldnt be touched.So much freedom one should have.Why they dont beet any political members ? who commit murder or any other crimes?

    This is clearly high handedness prompted by nalin and gowda themselves.... Not acceptable by any standards of sane society this... Everyone has right to protest in their own way... Don't people burn effigies of the leaders during protests?... First of all nalin should have apologized and resigned from the post right after learning such thrashing of bajapa.... And gowda should have retired from all types of politics... Our hearts go out to the youngsters treated so inhumanly by the so called protectors of law and order... they must be dismissed from force without any benefits...
