Bengaluru: CM Siddaramaiah stops all BJP sanctioned works, puts them under scanner

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (SS)

Bengaluru, May 23: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday, May 22, ordered to stop all projects sanctioned by the previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and placed them under review.

An order issued from the CM's office said, "All further release / payments of departments and corporations / boards / authorities under the departments in respect of all the works undertaken by the previous government are to be stopped with immediate effect and all works which have not started are also to be stopped."

Siddaramaiah's decision is said to have been taken based on complaints by MLAs, MLCs and people that several works sanctioned by the BJP government lack sanctity and have no approvals, according to the CMO.

Minister M B Patil said a probe will be conducted against charges of corruption of the previous government.

The order also said a majority of the new works which have been sanctioned by the Bommai government but have now been put on hold are those which were cleared post the model code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of India.

Let them first Manage to smooth functioning of Govt, first of all people are anxious about releasing dates of 5 guarantee schemes to be at the earliest. implementation is not so easy as giving false promises. If you (Congress) blame previous Govt 40 % , all new tenders to be minus 40 % in future.

Overall there should not be vendetta politics -- Many a times genuine businessmen / women -- hard earned money (investing )may get blocked -- life's savings -- can ruin entire career -- families-- -- Of course any inflated projects -- 40 % --/ embezzlement -- shoddy work -- work given to inexperienced -- should be stopped / investigated -- and culprits if found guilty face penalties -- or legal action --

This is a welcome step. most of these BJP MLAs, had given all these tenders and contracts to their Secular M s l m biradars, with hope of winning their vote. STOP all payment and work and retender this. this time, all retenders should cost 40% less anyway, since commission is now not needed. so, 100 rupee work allloteed should be stopped, and given at 60 rupees only. if the contractor acts pricey, blacklist them. so with this both aims can be achieved. hindu contractors will get jobs as well as cost will be less. and this can be given easily to charity and freebies. well done siddanna!

Very very calculated move indeed. All those projects which were announce by BJP/Modi only to fool the public during election campaign. How we can expect sincere announcements from a default, fake, manipulative person. If he has any dignity and honor let Modi fulfil his promise of Black money and 17 Lacs. First ever PM who has lowered the dignity of highly honoured and respected post and position with his gimmicks, street shows and cheap talk as well as fancy dress. We wish Congress shall come to power in the Central and make thorough scrutiny of all the operations they carried oud including Rafael fighter jets. Also, CBI, IT, ED, BD and some political murders by Hindu activists.

People did not vote for smart city. Only the urban desis would want a smart city . Middle class , lower middle class and poor people would want their basic necessities like ele, water, transportation to be taken care off. When such basic stuffs are promised to be free of cost, of course commoners would want that as a priority.
