Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, May 29: A huge container truck hit against the branch of a tree that was bent towards the road at old NH road of lower Parkala. The tree branch fell on the road disrupting traffic for some time at around 8.30 am on Monday May 29.

Local vehicle drivers got together and cleared the broken tree branch from the road and allowed the movement of traffic.

Eyewitness social worker Ganesh Raj Saralebettu said that a car driver avoided the branch of tree falling on his vehicle as he noticed the truck hitting the tree branch and applied brakes suddenly.

Locals have urged the local administration to get the bent branches of the trees cut as this will cause more problem during heavy winds and rains during monsoon which is due to arrive soon.
