Mangaluru, Jun 1: Palakkad Division of Southern Railway has permitted photography and videography for commercial purposes including wedding shoots and advertisements in railway stations.

This provision is available in Mangaluru Central and Junction railway stations too.

For commercial purpose, including wedding shoot, using professional equipment or mobile or small digital camera, the licence fees per day (or part thereof) per station/train (without involving any rolling stock) for the Y City (Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Mangaluru) is Rs 5,000 and for the Z City (Other stations)is Rs 3,000.

For the academic purpose using professional equipment, the licence fees per day (or part thereof) per station for the Y City (Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Mangaluru) is Rs 2,500 and for the Z City (Other stations) is Rs 1,500.

Personal use with professional equipment, the licence fees per day (or part thereof) per station/train is Rs 3,500, for the Z City (Other stations) is Rs 2,500.

Licence fees is for still photography, of a rolling stock in station limit, either in motion or stabled, or on board a train or any loading or unloading activity in railway goods shed or goods terminal.

For the commercial purpose, including wedding shoot, using professional equipment or mobile or small digital camera, the licence fees per day (or part thereof) per station/train (or any other railway rolling stock) in Y City (Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Mangaluru) is Rs 1500. For the Z City (Other stations) is Rs 1000.

For academic purposes using professional equipment, in Y City (Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Mangaluru) is rupees 750, for Z City (Other stations) is Rs 500. Personal use using professional equipment, licence fees per day (or part thereof) per station/train (or any other railway rolling stock) for the Y City (Kozhikode, Kannur, Malappuram, Coimbatore, Mangaluru) Rs 1000 and for the Z City (Other stations) is Rs 750.

Application for the permission for still photography shall be submitted to senior divisional commercial manager, Palakkad. The application shall be submitted at least 7 days prior to the proposed date of still photography.
