Mangaluru: Special prayers for children held in Milagres Shrine on fourth day of Tredicina devotion

Mangaluru, Jun 3: Children attending the fourth day of Tredicina devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony of Padua were blessed and special prayers were invoked on them on June 3 at St Anthony Shrine, Milagres Church.

Fr Ligory Crasta, OCD, adminsitrator, Ryshivana - Institute of Inner Silence and Contemplation, Mangaluru prayed over the children at the end of the mass prior to the devotion to St Anthony of Padua.

Fr Ligory celebrated the solemn mass of the Holy Trinity. He preached on the mystery of the Holy Trinity. He said, “Holy Trinity is the perfect example of love and unity."

Fr Ligory gave a call to live the Trinitarian relationship in families by deepening the faith in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Fr Avinash Pais, assistant director of St Anthony Ashram, led the novena in honour of St Anthony, during which the special intercession of the saint was sought for the various needs and prayer intentions of the devotees.

Choir members of Jeppu parish sang and joined in the thanksgiving. Payasam (sweet dish) was served to all the devotees who attended the devotion.
