Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 6: It was a pleasure on May 29 at Carmel School to see excited children with curious eyes, happy looks and smiles on their faces were a year older. They moved with confidence towards their classrooms. Cheers and laughter were back again in the empty corridor of the school.

They were greeted with a song and a verse by Sister Shanthi Laveena, coordinator and the faculty of primary section.

On June 3, the entire Carmel family assembled in the school auditorium for a prayer service conducted by grade 10 A under the guidance of Jahnavi. It commenced with the Lighting of the lamp by Sr Lilly Pushpa- new principal, Dr Sr Prem - new administrator, Sr Premal - new vice principal and the newly appointed teachers symbolizing the values that the school aims to instill in its students, serving as a guiding light throughout their academic journey.

The prayer service comprised of thanksgiving and intercessory prayers with apt hymns. Sr Shanthi Laveena, representing the school administration, formally welcomed the principal, administrator, vice principal and the new members of the staff with a bouquet of flowers. This gesture of respect and warmth created a positive atmosphere for the guides / mentors to begin their tenure at Carmel School.

The new students then introduced themselves that definitely improved their self-confidence, motivation, and interpersonal skills. Sr Lilly Pushpa in her inspirational message encouraged the children to attempt to participate in as many activities as possible in the new session and to maintain a positive mindset and to perform their assigned tasks with enthusiasm and happiness.

The assembly concluded with the singing of the school and national anthems.
