Guerrillas Open Fire in Cop's Home in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 19 (IANS): A policeman was critically injured when separatist guerrillas barged into his home in a village in Jammu and Kashmir and opened fire, police said Tuesday.

Fareed Ahmad Khan, a constable of the state armed police, was injured late Monday when militants forcibly entered his home in Gotlibagh village in Ganderbal.

"They resorted to indiscriminate automatic gunfire after forcing their entry into the constable's house. He was shifted to Soura Medical Institute in Srinagar city for treatment," a police official told IANS.

A policeman was killed and five others critically wounded on July 6 in a powerful blast of an improvised explosive device (IED) in north Kashmir's Sopore town.

Governor Vohra is not bothered. More than one hundred thousand are dead and buried and thousands vanished with no clue where they are. Bombay films will soon be shot in Kashmir as everything is normal now. Interlocutors have done a wonderful job to preserve democracy. Rest all is fine!
