Mumbai, Jul 21: Ever since Aishwarya Rai Bachchan  was dropped from the lead for film maker Madhur  Bhandarkar's 'Heroine', leading actresses Kareena  Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have been in a  competition to bag the role.

While it is learnt that the script of 'Heroine' was written  with Kareena in mind for the lead, the actress had  initially turned down the offer as the role demanded  many bold scenes. However, once controversies  started lining up around the movie following Ash's  pregnancy, both Kareena and Priyanka have shown their interest in the role.

Buzz is that Priyanka, who was looking forward to  working with Madhur again did not like the fact that  she was not approached for the role in the first place.

Well, whoever does it will definitely benefit from the  project with the amount of hype created.
