Bengaluru, Jun 18: Following the Congress government's recent decision to repeal controversial amendments to the anti-conversion law and withdraw changes made to school textbooks during the BJP regime, chief minister Siddaramaiah took the opportunity on Sunday to meet with Archbishop of Bengaluru, Dr Peter Machado, at the Archbishop's House. He also paid a personal visit to the Arabic College in the city to meet with Muslim leaders.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Ministers K J George and Z A Zameer Ahmed Khan, as well as chief minister's Political Secretary Naseer Ahmed.

"These are just courtesy calls following the formation of the Congress government in the state," stated the chief minister.

The Archbishop warmly greeted and expressed gratitude to the chief minister and the government for promptly repealing the controversial amendments to the anti-conversion law, which were introduced by the previous BJP government.

The Archbishop emphasized that the amendments, implemented by the BJP government, faced strong opposition from all sections of the Christian community.

Muslim community leaders and Moulvis also appreciated the government's commitment to safeguarding the interests of minority communities.

Fasism:- "A fascist is one whose lust for money or power is combined with such an intensity of intolerance toward those of other races, parties, classes, religions, cultures, regions or nations as to make him ruthless in his use of deceit or violence to attain his ends." Indians at present are going through above mentioned Pase of life.

In a secular and democratic country I would ask our CM to treat all Indians irrespective of religion as equal, in line with our laws and the constitution. Please DO NOT support any one religious group over the other. Then, and only then India will truly prosper. We all want to live in perfect peace with each other.

Congress is moving 100 % towards secularim, respecting and honouring peoples choice of free movements and respect for minoritie religion. BJP /Modi agenda is only to influence majorities with fake Hindutva. BJP if remains in power at the centre, our country will be ahub for inter communal fights and blood bath among communities. That is real character of RSS BJP and the members of Modi team
